Try our Fresh Frozen Black Mulberries today!

Now in season! Grown organically and sustainably on a small family farm in Northern California.

Our fresh frozen black mulberries look similar to blackberries (A little more elongated with the occasional red tint) but are actually a small aggregate of many tiny fruits that are arranged concentrically around a central stem. They have a delicious sweet-tangy taste that is much more flavorful and than their fellow white and red varieties. Mulberries are large, deciduous trees that belong to the moraceae family and the morus genus. They are native to warm, temperate, and subtropical regions of Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Mulberries have been eaten for hundreds of years throughout Europe and Asia, where they are popular in jams, syrups, sorbets and pies. They can usually be substituted successfully for blackberries but are a bit sweeter and have less moisture. This highly perishable and delicate fruit comes into season during mid summer and needs to be eaten, dried or frozen almost immediately to avoid spoil. Black mulberries are an antioxidant rich powerhouse that are an excellent source of Vitamins A, C and E, as well as iron, potassium and manganese. Shipped frozen straight to your door! Enjoy!
