Broiled Salmon with Teriyaki Sauce

BROILED SALMON WITH TERIYAKI SAUCE

 Prep Time: 15 minutes

 Cook Time: 8 minutes

Total Time: 23 minutes 

Servings: 4 

SEASONED SALMON INGREDIENTS:

4 x 6oz wild salmon filets

½ tsp sea salt

½ tsp pepper

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp paprika (optional)

Dash of cayenne powder (optional)

SAUCE INGREDIENTS:

3 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

7 cloves minced garlic

1 tsp ginger powder

 ½ cup honey

 2 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp sriracha sauce

3 tbsp's sake

3 tbsp soy sauce

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Position rack to center of oven. Preheat broiler on high.
  2. Place thawed Salmon skin side down on platter. Pat dry with paper towel. Mix dry ingredients and sprinkle over salmon filets. Let set for 15 minutes at room temperature.
  3. In a medium size frying pan heat butter and olive oil over med-high heat. Add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sriracha, honey and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then add sake. Let mixture cook for 15 seconds then add salmon fillets skin side down. Cook in sauce for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Baste fillets with sauce then place them onto a broiler safe baking pan, skin side down. Place in the oven and broil for 3-4 minutes depending on thickness. Continue basting 2-3 times while broiling. Remove from oven and enjoy!
