Morels with Asparagus

1                     cup of morels

1 1/2               cup of chopped asparagus about 2-3 inches in width. 

2                     tablespoon olive oil or Butter

1                     tablespoon fresh minced garlic

1                     teaspoon salt

1                     tablespoon soy sauce

1                     teaspoon crushed red chili pepper flakes (optional)

 

***Note: Before stir-frying the morels, make sure to cook the morels in boiling hot water for about 5 min. and then strain it. Morel should hold its texture and should not break apart after boiling.

 

  1. Heat the oil in wok or large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Add morels and asparagus, soy sauce, crushed red chili pepper flakes; stir-fry 5-7 minutes until well blended.
