Wild Alaskan black cod, aka. Sable fish or butter fish is a rich and flaky delicacy that has a wonderfully sweet, intense flavor and is extremely rich in omega 3 oils. Black cod are highly valued for their buttery texture and contain more omega 3 oils than any other white fish and wild salmon; except for king salmon. They are an excellent source of high quality protein as well as a rich source of iron, calcium, copper, and other minerals. Our wild Alaskan black cod are long line caught in the ice cold waters of Southeastern Alaska then hand filleted, portioned and vacuum sealed immediately for your ease of use and enjoyment. Black cod can be prepared grilled, smoked, poached, or baked, and the results are excellent. This is one of our favorite fish since it’s so easy to prepare and difficult to overcook. Enjoy this wonderful lesser known fish! Frozen at sea and shipped straight to your door. Enjoy!
